REACH SVHC report update!

The EU regulation for Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) is fundamentally changing European chemicals law.
REACH is broad in scope and affects the whole supply chain including companies based outside the EU. Compliance with REACH requires strategic planning as it asks industry to account for compliance throughout the supply chain.
The responsibility for the safe handling of chemicals is largely transferred from the state authorities to the manufacturers, importers and users. REACH does not have to be implemented in national law, but applies directly in all EU countries.
A substance of very high concern (SVHC) is a chemical substance which has been identified according to the REACH regulation as a substance with particularly dangerous properties and which can have serious effects on human health or the environment.
The "SVHC list" or “Candidate List "contains the substances or groups of substances that have been identified as substances of very high concern within the framework of the REACH regulation. As of July 8, 2021 (date of the last new additions), 219 substances / groups of substances are listed in the candidate list.
The GW Group supports the aim of REACH in improving the protection of human health and the environment through better and earlier identification of the intrinsic properties of chemical substances.
GW cable ties are regularly tested by independent institutes – our latest REACH test report has been issued by TÜV-Rheinland on July 14th, 2021.
