Storage & Installation Guidance During Extreme Col

Dear Valued Customer,

Due to the recent extreme cold and snowy weather conditions in certain regions,

we have received isolated reports of cable ties becoming brittle during handling or installation.

Our review indicates that these cases are primarily related to storage conditions prior to

use and installation practices in low temperatures, rather than product quality.

Nylon 6/6 is a hygroscopic material, meaning it absorbs and releases moisture during storage.

To maintain optimal mechanical performance, the material must retain a controlled moisture content.

Exposure to freezing temperatures or excessively dry environments before installation can temporarily reduce flexibility if moisture is lost.

To ensure reliable performance during winter conditions, please pay particular attention to the following:

STORAGE (PRIOR TO USE)

• Store cable ties between 15 °C and 30 °C

•Avoid prolonged exposure to sub-zero temperatures

• If stored below 10 °C, allow the product to acclimatise at room temperature for at least 24 hours before installation

• Keep products in sealed polyethylene bags until use

INSTALLATION

• Use suitable installation tools to ensure controlled tension and a clean, flush cut

• A correctly installed cable tie should have the cut tail flush with the head

• If the tail retracts more than 1 mm into the head, excessive tension has been applied

Should you require any assistance, our technical team will be pleased to support you.

Kind regards,
